How To Get Ready For Your Wedding? Pre-Wedding Plastic Surgery Guide

Whether you are a Wedding Guest, a Bride, or Groom considering a cosmetic procedure for the occasion, Here are Dr. Askari, board-certified plastic surgeon advice:

#1

Plan Ahead. If you are interested in surgery and invasive procedures

For any large surgery such as Mommy or Male Makeover, Lipo 360, or BBL, you will need to plan for about 6 months+ to 1 year in advance to ensure you are healed from your surgery and have recovered from any potential complications that may happen. For breast surgery, you can get away with by getting surgery 3 to 6 months ahead.

#2

Fillers are great to add volume &
plump to your face

Fillers can be done 1 to 2 months prior to the wedding. Fillers add volume to an area and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and lines. You can inject your lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, etc., and get ready for photos.

#3

Botox reduces the
appearance of wrinkles

Botox is a type of neuromodulator that reduces muscle movement in the injected area, which helps reduce current wrinkles and prevents the formation of more. It can be performed 1 month before the wedding as the results take time to kick in. Additionally, depending on your skin type, bruises may occur, which take time to heal. Selecting the right injector is necessary to prevent complications such as black eyes or droopy eyes.

#4

Don’t try any new treatment or
skincare less than 1 month
before the wedding

It’s tempting to try this facial or brand-new laser on the market, but try not to. We recommend carefully trying something new on your skin that can damage or cause a reaction. It is important to ask about the downtime associated with it and if it works for your skin type.
